Born and raised on a farm just east of Lindsay, Heather Richardson (nee McCrae) joined Staples & Swain as an associate in 2007, following the completion of her articles with a downtown Toronto law firm. Heather joined the partnership of Staples & Swain Professional Corporation in the spring of 2009 and stepped into the role of managing lawyer at the beginning of 2012. Heather is currently growing the firm by providing reliable service relating to corporate/commercial and business law issues, estate planning and administration, real estate transactions and municipal law. She has experience in residential, farm and commercial real estate transactions, drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney, assisting executors and trustees in the administration of estates, and counseling clients on business acquisitions and sales, succession planning, assorted corporate transactions, and advising municipalities in a variety of areas.
